Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan candidly addressed his recent struggles to find form on the international stage. Currently, he is enjoying a successful debut in the Lanka Premier League Season 5, playing for the Colombo Strikers. In his first game, he achieved a hat-trick against the Kandy Falcons and has excelled, accruing 16 wickets, the highest by any bowler this season.

As the LPL moved from Dambulla to Colombo, Shadab recorded his third four-wicket haul in the tournament against the Jaffna Kings at the R Premadasa Stadium. Reflecting on his international woes, Shadab revealed he had not taken a wicket in his last seven international matches. 'I was struggling for three months. I came here, started bowling, and am now consistently taking wickets. You have to enjoy these scenarios as part of cricket,' he remarked.

Discussing the pitch conditions, Shadab said, 'The pitch was slow and gripping. In T20 cricket, variations are crucial for success, especially on flat tracks. You can either take wickets or contain runs if you have effective variations.' At 25, Shadab aims to contribute as an all-rounder for the Colombo Strikers. 'I am performing for my team, which is a positive sign. I hope to contribute with the bat as well,' he concluded.
