Punjab FC Secures Core Indian Players with Multi-Year Deals
Punjab FC has retained five key Indian players, including mid-fielder Ashis Pradhan and goal-keeper Ravi Kumar, on multi-year contracts for the upcoming Indian Super League season. The remaining players are Ricky Shabong, Manglenthang Kipgen, and Suresh Meitei. These players will stay with the club until 2026, 2027, and 2028 respectively.
Punjab FC has confirmed it will retain five key Indian players for the upcoming Indian Super League season. The players, mid-fielder Ashis Pradhan and goal-keeper Ravi Kumar, have signed multi-year deals alongside Ricky Shabong, Manglenthang Kipgen, and Suresh Meitei.
While Ravi Kumar and Pradhan will stay at the club until May 2026, center-back Meitei and midfielder Ricky Shabong will remain until May 2027, and Kipgen will continue until May 2028. The club emphasized the importance of these players in a recent release, citing their contributions in the previous season.
Kumar made 47 saves in 16 appearances, while Meitei appeared 14 times, assisting once. Pradhan, Shabong, and Kipgen had 17, 10, and 4 appearances respectively, playing crucial roles in the midfield.
