Serbian centre-back Nikola Milenkovic has signed a five-year contract with Nottingham Forest, following a seven-year stint at Fiorentina, the Premier League club announced on Thursday. Milenkovic, aged 26, featured in all three of Serbia's matches at Euro 2024 and has earned 57 international caps, along with making 216 Serie A appearances for Fiorentina. He reached the Europa Conference League final with the Italian side in May.

Ross Wilson, Forest's chief football officer, expressed admiration for Milenkovic's performances with both the Serbian national team and Fiorentina in Serie A and European competitions. Wilson emphasized Milenkovic's crucial role in the team's summer recruitment plans and noted the player's eagerness to join.

Nottingham Forest is set to face Bournemouth in their Premier League season opener on August 17.
