12 KIIT Students Qualify for Paris Olympics 2024

Twelve students from KIIT Deemed to be University have qualified for the Paris Olympics 2024. The Founder of KIIT, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, has announced a cash reward of Rs 7 lakh each to the athletes. The institution is the first in India to send the largest contingent of athletes to the Olympics.

Twelve students from KIIT Deemed to be University have successfully qualified for the Paris Olympics 2024. The institution, located in Bhubaneswar, will be sending the largest contingent of athletes among all Indian universities, marking a significant achievement.

The Founder of KIIT and KISS, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, announced a cash reward of Rs 7 lakh to each athlete, encouraging them to excel and bring glory to the country. The athletes include prominent names such as Amit Rohidas in Men's Hockey and Kishore Kumar Jena in Javelin Throw, among others.

Expressing pride, Dr. Samanta conveyed his congratulations at a special programme held in Bhubaneswar, which the athletes, currently training in Europe, attended virtually. He highlighted that KIIT & KISS is the first organization in India to send such a large number of players to the Olympics, showcasing its longstanding commitment to sports excellence.
