India's Kush Maini triumphed in his maiden Formula 2 Sprint Race at the Hungarian Grand Prix, benefitting from Richard Verschoor's disqualification due to a technical infringement.

The 23-year-old Invicta driver secured 10 points, elevating him to P8 in the championship standings with 66 points. Starting ninth, Maini overcame early challenges to finish in P2 and eventually claim the win.

His season-best performance includes five podiums and continues his momentum from the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where he drove the iconic E20 Lotus, previously raced by Kimi Raikkonen.
