The Assam Olympic Association (AOA) organized a special signature campaign on Thursday to wish ace boxer Lovlina Borgohain good luck as she prepares to compete in the forthcoming Summer Olympics in Paris.

The event drew a large crowd, with many signing on a flex wall to send their best wishes to Borgohain, who previously won a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.

The event saw attendance from notable figures such as Assam Minister for Water Resources Pijush Hazarika, Arjuna Awardee table tennis player Monalisa Barooah Mehta, AOA General Secretary Lakhya Konwar, Boxing Federation of India's Secretary General Hemanta Kalita, among other dignitaries, sportspersons, and support staff.

Minister Hazarika expressed great pride in Borgohain's achievements, highlighting that a girl from a remote village in Golaghat has made her mark on the international stage by winning an Olympic medal for India.

He noted, 'We are here to send our best wishes to this talented boxer as she competes at the Summer Olympics in Paris. I extend my good wishes and best of luck to Lovlina Borgohain, confident that she will secure a medal for the country.'

Emphasizing the unpredictable nature of sports, Hazarika added, 'Regardless of the result, we must stand by our athletes and support them in every way possible.'
