India's campaign at the Paris Olympics began on a positive note as archers led by Dhiraj Bommadevara and Ankita Bhakat secured direct quarterfinal entries for both men's and women's teams. Both teams finished third and fourth respectively in the ranking round on Thursday.

Dhiraj and Ankita's stellar performances during qualifications placed India in the top four, earning favorable draws. The men's team is seeded third, avoiding the dominant Korean team in the next round. Now, both teams need only two more victories to secure Olympic medals.

For the mixed team event, India stands fifth after securing a combined score of 1347. Dhiraj scored 681, while Ankita added 666. Korea continues to lead the standings, but the Indian team exhibited strong potential to challenge for podium positions.
