According to the club's statement on social media platform X, the decision was made in agreement with the club's top authorities. 'Martin Demichelis has left his position as coach of the professional squad,' the statement read.

Demichelis' tenure included winning three titles, but recent performances in the current championship were not enough to impress the fans. He will coach River for the last time on Sunday against Sarmiento de Junin.
