The Paris Olympics fanzone is set to dazzle visitors with a series of free and unticketed events, featuring dance performances, DJ sets, and appearances from sports icons like Serena Williams. Medal winners from around the globe will showcase their prowess on a catwalk in front of the Eiffel Tower.
France's rugby sevens gold medallists will kick off the festivities at the 'Parc des Champions' in the Trocadero Gardens, with a specially choreographed victory dance. 'We wanted something more intimate and less formal than typical medal ceremonies,' explained Martin Fourcade, president of the Paris 2024 Athletes' Commission.
The fanzone's unique setting will host various acts, including drag dancers and a contemporary ballet troupe performing extracts from 'Swan Lake.' The venue will also offer an exclusive, fan-athlete interaction, facilitated by icons like Dan Carter, Tony Parker, Carl Lewis, and Marie-José Perec.
