India's bowlers struck late, securing a thrilling victory in a Super Over against Sri Lanka in the final Twenty20 of their three-match series, held in Pallekele on Tuesday. This win marked a clean sweep under the leadership of new coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Suryakumar Yadav.

Washington Sundar, who earlier took 2-23, bagged two more wickets in the Super Over. Sri Lanka managed only two runs in four balls, and Suryakumar Yadav sealed the win stylishly with a boundary off the first ball. This victory follows Sri Lanka's near-miss with Kusal Mendis and Kusal Perera leading the chase.

The Indian side, battling a crumbling pitch, were initially restricted to 137-9. Key performances came from Shubman Gill and Sundar. The upcoming series will see the return of star players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
