Indian Shooters Kusale & Tomar Compete in 50m Rifle 3 Position Finals
Indian shooter Swapnil Kusale qualified for the finals of the 50m rifle 3 positions event by finishing seventh in the qualification round. Aishwary Tomar, however, ended 11th, failing to advance. Kusale scored 590, while Tomar scored 589. The finals will feature top shooters from China, Norway, and Ukraine.
Indian shooter Swapnil Kusale secured a spot in the finals of the 50m rifle 3 positions on Wednesday after finishing seventh in the qualification round, whereas Aishwary Tomar ended his run at 11th position.
Kusale impressed with scores of 198 in kneeling, 197 in prone, and 195 in standing position. Tomar, on the other hand, managed 197 in kneeling, 199 in prone, and 193 in standing. The finals will occur on Thursday.
The top shooters include China’s Liu Yukun, who led with 594 points, Norway’s Jon-Hermann Hegg with 593, and Ukraine’s Serhiy Kulish with 592. Notably, Kusale had previously earned gold in the Asian Games team event.
