India has commenced the Paris Olympics on a high note, clinching two medals in the initial days. On July 30th, as India secured its second medal, Indian athletes received a warm welcome at the inaugural India House held at Parc de la Villette, witnessed by fans and administrators.

Nita M Ambani, an IOC member and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, addressed the athletes: 'Welcome to the first ever India House at the Olympics! Please join me in welcoming the icons of today, tomorrow and forever. The Indian athletes who represent India are present here today. Every single one of you has made us hold our heads higher with pride,' as stated in a Reliance Foundation release.

Ambani also applauded Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh for their medals in the 10m air pistol mixed team event, singling out Singh for a standing ovation. The athletes were greeted with ceremonial grandeur, featuring dhol beats and a traditional tikah ceremony. The attendees included medalist Sarabjot Singh, flag bearer Sharath Kamal, and other notable athletes who also lit the digital flame in support of the Olympic movement before being honored by Ambani.

The athletes, along with their fans, enjoyed live music and an array of traditional foods at India House, which has become a popular venue for both Indian and international fans due to its vibrant atmosphere and unique experiences. (ANI)
