A new National Cricket Academy (NCA) is set to be inaugurated here soon, featuring 45 practice pitches and an Olympic-sized swimming pool, among other facilities, as announced by BCCI secretary Jay Shah on Saturday.

Shah detailed that the new NCA in Bengaluru will include 'state-of-the-art training, recovery, and sports science facilities' alongside three world-class playing grounds and indoor cricket pitches.

'Very excited to announce that the BCCI's new National Cricket Academy (NCA) is almost complete and will be opening shortly in Bengaluru,' Shah wrote on X. He emphasized that this initiative aims to help current and future cricketers develop their skills in the best possible environment.

The existing NCA is located at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, and the BCCI also plans to establish NCAs in Jammu and Kashmir and the North East.
