Yamamoto, with a 7-under 206 total at Fox Chapel, faced a three-hour rain delay in the afternoon.
Annika Sorenstam, the 2021 champion, is tied for second alongside fellow Hall of Famers Juli Inkster and Leta Lindley, as well as Mikino Kubo. JoAnne Carner, another Hall of Famer, missed the weekend cut after shooting an 85 on Thursday and an 80 on Friday.
