Bagnaia, who qualified second, initially led the race but was surpassed by Martin with eight laps remaining. Martin seemed poised for victory but made a critical error in the final moments, which Bastianini capitalized on after starting third.
Marc Marquez, six-time MotoGP champion, began in seventh and finished fourth, while Aprilia's Aleix Espargaro, who set a lap record in the qualifiers, ended sixth. Martin now leads the championship by three points, with Bagnaia and Bastianini in second and third.
