Paris St Germain have signed 19-year-old Portuguese midfielder Joao Neves on a contract until 2029, the club announced on Monday. The defensive star moves from Benfica, his academy home, in a deal reportedly worth around 60 million euros, plus 10 million euros in potential add-ons. Financial terms were not disclosed by either club.

Neves, who has made 75 appearances for Benfica and earned nine caps for Portugal, won the Primeira Liga and Supertaca Candido de Oliveira during his tenure. PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi described Neves as one of Portugal's and the world's most talented players, expressing excitement over his determination to join the team.
