Borussia Dortmund has secured the services of German forward Maximilian Beier from TSG Hoffenheim on a five-year contract, both Bundesliga clubs confirmed on Monday.

The 21-year-old recently made his debut for the German national team and is set to bolster the attack of last season's Champions League runners-up, filling the void left by striker Niclas Fuellkrug's departure to West Ham United.

Although financial specifics were not provided, German media reports suggest Dortmund will invest around 28.5 million euros ($31.14 million) to acquire Beier. ($1 = 0.9152 euros)
