Clinical performances by opener Maddy Darke and the Australian bowlers propelled Australia A to an eight-wicket victory over India A in the second women's one-day match on Friday.
Boosted by Darke's unbeaten hundred and a solid 68 from Katie Mack, Australia chased down India's total of 218 with ease, reaching 221 for two in 40.2 overs. Darke's 106 came off 115 balls, while Mack added 68 from 78 balls. Tahlia McGrath completed the chase with an unbeaten 32 off 26 balls.
Earlier, the Indian innings saw defiant knocks by Tejal Hasabnis (63) and Raghvi Bist (70), but the team collapsed from 176 for three to 218 all out, with Maitlan Brown, Nicola Hancock, and Charli Knott each taking two wickets. India lost seven wickets for just 42 runs in their final eight overs.
