In a major shakeup of England's white-ball cricket squads, wicketkeeper-batter Jonny Bairstow and spinner Moeen Ali have been dropped ahead of their series against Australia. The overhauls continue following the dismissal of head coach Matthew Mott.
England is set to play three T20 internationals starting on Sept. 11 at Southampton, followed by five ODI games. Marcus Trescothick's first assignment as interim coach will see him lead a team featuring five uncapped players: left-arm seamer Josh Hull, allrounder Jacob Bethell, pace bowler John Turner, Dan Mousley, and Jordan Cox.
Moeen, who has been a crucial vice-captain, and Bairstow, a key player in England's 2019 World Cup win, are among the high-profile departures. Brydon Carse, who completes a ban for historical betting offences this week, is a notable T20 pick.
