Simran Stuns at Paris Olympics with Season's Best in T12 100m
Simran, guided by Abhay Singh, advanced to the women's T12 100m semifinals with a time of 12.17s at the Paris Olympics. The 24-year-old, who has visual impairment, finished second overall behind Cuban runner Omara Durand. The semifinals are scheduled for Thursday.

India's Simran impressed at the Paris Olympics by advancing to the women's T12 100m semifinals on Wednesday with a season's best effort of 12.17s.
Accompanied by her guide Abhay Singh, the 24-year-old world champion from New Delhi topped her heat.
Born prematurely with visual impairment, Simran ranks second overall, behind reigning Paralympic champion and world record holder Omara Durand of Cuba, who ran an 11.87s in the 16-member field. The semifinals are set for Thursday.
