Aleem Dar, a celebrated Pakistan umpire with an impressive 448 international matches under his belt, has decided to retire from the profession at the end of the 2024-25 domestic season.

Admired for his fairness and a pristine career, Dar was a significant figure in the ICC’s Elite and International Panels since 2003, earning the David Shepherd Trophy thrice for ICC Umpire of the Year between 2009 and 2011.

“Umpiring has been my life for nearly 25 years, and it’s been a privilege to officiate some iconic matches,” Dar remarked. Expressing a commitment to uphold sportsmanship, he announced a shift to focus on his charitable initiatives, particularly his hospital project.
