Ravindra Jadeja recounted his cricketing journey as he celebrated taking his 300th Test wicket for India during the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur. Jadeja achieved this milestone by dismissing Khaled Ahmed, marking a triumphant moment in his decade-long career.

Primarily known as a limited-overs specialist, Jadeja had to elevate his game to become a Test mainstay. "It's special. I've been playing Test cricket for 10 years, and I've finally reached this milestone. Feeling proud of myself. I'm always happy and excited whenever I wear the Indian jersey," he noted. Jadeja's comments came at the end of day four's play, reflecting on his growth and achievements in the longest format of the game.

Jadeja has now joined an illustrious group of 11 players who have scored 3000-plus runs and taken 300-plus wickets in Test cricket. Achieving this feat in fewer matches than most, he is second only to England's Ian Botham. Jadeja emphasizes a patient, ball-by-ball approach when batting, contributing to India's aggressive yet calculated Test strategy against Bangladesh.

In a rain-curtailed Test match, India aimed for an assertive result. The batsmen, led by skipper Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal, set an aggressive tone, accumulating 285/9 before declaring. Bangladesh ended the day mostly intact but threatened by Ravichandran Ashwin's late strikes.

As Bangladesh trails by 26 runs with eight wickets remaining, Jadeja is optimistic about India's chances. "We batted very well, following our plan. Hopefully, we get them out as early as possible," he concluded.
