MotoGP ace Marc Marquez delivered a stunning performance to secure a victory at the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, outpacing championship leader Jorge Martin at Phillip Island on Sunday. Despite starting second, Marquez faced an initial setback as his tear-off impeded his start, pushing him outside the top-10.

Demonstrating resilience, the 31-year-old Spaniard climbed back through the ranks to earn a historic fourth win in the premier class at the Australian venue. "There was always something happening," remarked Marquez, "but I've never pulled the tear-off in the start before."

As the race unfolded, Marquez exhibited strategic skill by saving his tires for a final push against Martin, resulting in a pole victory. Martin's second place extended his world championship lead over Francesco Bagnaia, who finished third, completing an all-Ducati podium.
