Kansas City Chiefs wideout Sammy Watkins practised Tuesday for the first time since sustaining a setback in his recovery from a foot injury in early December. Watkins officially was limited in practice, but his participation represents progress. He has missed six straight games and played just five snaps in a seventh (Week 11), his only game since Nov. 4.
In the first year of a three-year, $48 million free agent contract, Watkins had 40 catches for 519 yards and three touchdowns across 10 games. Also limited for Kansas City on Tuesday were running back Spencer Ware (hamstring) and safety Eric Berry (heel). Rookie linebacker Dorian O'Daniel (calf/ankle) did not participate. Ware has missed three straight games, while Berry has played just a game and a half this season while battling heel pain. The Chiefs host the Indianapolis Colts in the first divisional playoff game on Saturday (4:35 p.m. ET).
