Federica Brignone of Italy delivered an outstanding performance to secure the gold medal in the women's giant slalom at the Alpine World Ski Championships in Saalbach on Thursday.

America's Paula Moltzan earned the bronze medal after narrowly surpassing Norway's Thea Louise Stjernesund by one hundredth of a second.

Having previously finished second to Mikaela Shiffrin in the same event in 2023 and securing a silver medal at the 2022 Olympics, Brignone has consistently been a formidable competitor. Her remarkable win at the current championships highlights her skill and determination in the sport.
