In a narrow escape, former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly was involved in a minor vehicle accident in West Bengal's Purba Bardhaman district. The incident occurred when a lorry swiftly passed Ganguly's car on the Durgapur Expressway, prompting an abrupt brake that triggered a chain collision within his convoy.
According to West Bengal police, the lorry's sudden movement forced the driver of Ganguly's vehicle to stop suddenly, resulting in a rear-end collision by following convoy vehicles. Ganguly's car was directly hit, and two vehicles in his convoy sustained minor damage.
Despite the scare, Ganguly made it to a Burdwan University event as planned, and the scheduled program ran smoothly without further mishaps, police confirmed.
