The Par3 Masters Golf Tournament made its debut at the Oxford Golf Resort in Pune on February 15, bringing the Pitch and Putt format to the forefront. This innovative format, where each hole is a Par 3 and players use only three clubs, attracted 86 golfers, including 16 Korean expats and 12 women.
Organizers, including Munish Arora and Anirudha Seolekar, see potential in making golf accessible and popular across India. They plan to introduce this format to other cities, fostering golf tourism and local economies with shorter, less challenging courses that appeal to newcomers and international tourists.
The tournament concluded with a prize-giving ceremony, acknowledging winners like Rohit Anand and Minwha Kim. The event, organized by Can and Able Entertainment, was capped with a performance by Sufi qawwals, enhancing the cultural experience for participants and attendees.
