Pakistan's swift departure from the 2025 Champions Trophy has sparked intense criticism towards players and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. In a disappointing turn of events, Pakistan's early exit from the 2025 Champions Trophy has sparked widespread criticism of both the team's performance and the leadership of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, reports Geo News. Hosting an ICC tournament after 29 long years, Pakistan's swift departure within just five days has left fans and supporters disheartened and dissatisfied.

Key political figures, including National Assembly Opposition Leader and PTI politician Omar Ayub, have expressed dissatisfaction with Naqvi's leadership, demanding his removal. Speaking to the media, Ayub criticized Naqvi for the team's lackluster performance and attributed repeated failures to his mismanagement.

Pakistan's struggles in ICC events persisted as they failed to secure victories against New Zealand and India in the group stage. The team faced an early exit, relying on an unlikely favor from Bangladesh, which was not realized as New Zealand triumphed over the Tigers, securing their semifinal spot alongside India.

The Pakistan team's upcoming match against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi is now a formality, with both teams having been ousted from the tournament. This continuing trend of poor performance in major tournaments is reminiscent of past disappointments, including last year's T20 World Cup and the 2023 Men's ODI World Cup, where Pakistan also fell short of the knockouts.
