Indian para athletes have delivered a stellar performance at the Spanish Para Badminton International 2025 in Vitoria, Spain. Leading the charge, Kumar Nitesh and Sukant Kadam clinched gold medals in the SL3 and SL4 categories, respectively.

Nitesh showcased his skill with a thrilling 21-19, 21-19 victory over Japan's Daisuke Fujihara, while Sukant dominated his fellow Indian, Tarun, with a 21-13, 21-10 win. Reflecting on his victory, Sukant expressed, "I'm happy to start 2025 with a gold medal. Every match here was a learning experience, and I'm glad I could perform consistently. This win gives me great motivation for the rest of the season."

In other highlights, Nithyashre emerged victorious in the SH6 category, defeating Poland's Szmigiel. Additionally, Nitesh Kumar and Tarun secured a win in the men's doubles, while Krishna Nagar and Nithyashre triumphed in mixed doubles. Despite a valiant effort, Alphia James took silver in the women's singles final.
