Axar or Rahul: The Battle for Delhi Capitals Captaincy

The Delhi Capitals are on the brink of announcing their new captain for the IPL season. Axar Patel leads the race against KL Rahul, who might miss games due to personal commitments. Axar has a longer association with the Capitals, while Rahul brings previous captaincy experience.

Axar Patel and KL Rahul are vying for the captaincy of Delhi Capitals in the forthcoming IPL season, with Axar seemingly the frontrunner.

Franchise officials will soon declare the new captain, following the conclusion of the Champions Trophy, while the team prepares for a twice-week training camp in Delhi before heading to Visakhapatnam for their initial matches.

Although Rahul enjoys prior captaincy experience and has amassed significant runs, his availability might be diminished due to personal reasons, giving Axar an edge, who has been with the team for seven seasons, demonstrating consistent all-around performance.
