Indian cricketers Shreyas Iyer and Hardik Pandya have landed back in India as champions after their recent triumph in the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai. The Indian team secured the title by defeating New Zealand with a four-wicket victory, marking another impressive milestone following their T20 World Cup 2024 success.

Iyer top-scored for India in the tournament, racking up 243 runs at an average of 48.60, including two fifties. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya made valuable contributions with 99 runs and four wickets. Both players arrived in Mumbai after the conclusion of the tournament, receiving a warm welcome.

In Chennai, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who took five wickets and scored 27 crucial runs, arrived to prepare for the upcoming IPL season with the Chennai Super Kings. Varun Chakravarthy, who impressed with his debut, claiming nine wickets and a memorable five-wicket haul, also arrived in Chennai.

All-rounder Axar Patel, who scored 109 runs and claimed five wickets, returned to Ahmedabad to cheers from the fans. The final saw New Zealand opting to bat first, setting a target of 251 with prominent contributions from Daryl Mitchell and Michael Bracewell.

India's bowling attack, led by Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy, restricted the Kiwis effectively. India chased the target with a strong batting performance, highlighted by Rohit Sharma's 76, and contributions from Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, and KL Rahul, culminating in a memorable victory.
