India Clinches Third ICC Champions Trophy Amidst Historic Return to Pakistan

The International Cricket Council (ICC) expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for hosting the ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025 and to the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) for organizing five matches, as per an ICC release. India triumphed in the tournament, defeating New Zealand by four wickets in the final match held at Dubai International Stadium.

This event, running from February 19 to March 9, marks Pakistan's first global cricket tournament since 1996. Matches were held at venues in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Dubai. ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice praised the PCB and all involved for their efforts in delivering a successful tournament.

He also acknowledged the ECB's role in staging part of the event and highlighted the widespread fan engagement, both in-stadium and via digital platforms. Allardice commended the eight participating teams for creating an unforgettable tournament, culminating in India's memorable final win, marking their third Champions Trophy title.
