Indian sports personalities, led by cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, have praised 'Operation Sindoor', a military operation aimed at dismantling terror networks in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The operation was conducted following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists.
In the early hours of Wednesday, the Indian armed forces launched precision strikes on nine terror targets. These included strongholds of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba in Muridke, in a bid to send a strong message against terrorism.
Sports figures like Virender Sehwag, Irfan Pathan, Suresh Raina, and Shikhar Dhawan posted their support on social media. Others, including boxer Vijender Singh and wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing India's zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism.
