In a move aimed at nurturing a robust sporting culture among students, Union Education Minister Dharemndra Pradhan announced the distribution of approximately 10 lakh footballs to schools across India.
The distribution event, which took place at the PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya in Kolkata, marks the launch of the Football for Schools (F4S) program, an initiative spearheaded by FIFA.
This international endeavor seeks to promote grassroots football by making the sport more accessible within the school system. Support from the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the Sports Authority of India (SAI) enhances the program's reach across India, promising a future rich in sporting opportunities for students.
