The Women's Super League disclosed on Thursday that fans of top-tier clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, London City Lionesses, Manchester City, and Manchester United can legally consume alcohol at games. The ongoing trial, not restricted by the 1985 legislation affecting men's football, shows promise.

Feedback from the initial test phase involving 51,000 fans at 19 fixtures indicated overwhelming support, with two-thirds in favor and 84% rating their safety highly. No adverse behavior changes were reported by officials, and there was an increase in stadium expenditures, further indicating the positive impact of in-seat drinking on the women's game experience.
