Slovenian sensation Tadej Pogacar finished closely in second place, ensuring he retained the coveted yellow jersey as the overall leader of the race. Pogacar marginally extended his lead over key competitor Jonas Vingegaard with the performance, securing an 11-second margin over the Dane.
Vingegaard, who finished third in the stage, now trails Pogacar by 4 minutes and 26 seconds, highlighting the intense rivalry at the forefront of this year's Tour de France.
