Indian swimmer Shoan Ganguly concluded his race in the men's 200m medley in 38th place on day four of the World Aquatics Championships.
The Karnataka native, aged 20, clocked a time of 2:05.40s, finishing eighth in his heat, but didn't advance to the semifinals featuring 16 swimmers.
Reigning Olympic champion Leon Marchand was dominant in the heats, clocking an impressive 1:57.63s, while David Schlicht of Australia took the final qualifying spot for the semifinals.
