The Boxing Federation of India announced that over 700 young boxers, comprising 400 boys and 300 girls, are set to compete in the Sub-Junior (U-15) National Championships. The event will be held from August 7 to 13 in Greater Noida.

As part of BFI's vision for a strong grassroots-to-elite pathway, the championship will unfold across 15 weight categories. This event serves as a pivotal stage for uncovering burgeoning talents and grooming them for major competitions.

The tournament follows the successful conduct of earlier men's, women's, and junior Nationals. With defending champions Haryana (girls) and Chandigarh (boys), the competition promises intense action. According to Ajay Singh, BFI's Interim Committee president-chairperson, the Nationals represent a fundamental step in identifying and nurturing future boxing stars.
