Suryakumar Yadav has successfully passed his fitness test at the BCCI Centre of Excellence prior to the announcement of India's Asia Cup squad. This step follows his recent surgery for a sports hernia in Germany.
The prolific batter, widely recognized for his recent IPL season achievements, underwent the surgery in June before progressing towards a full recovery. In a social media update, Yadav expressed gratitude for the successful procedure and his eagerness to return to action.
With his fitness now certified, Yadav, who has also recovered from earlier ankle surgery, looks set to join the selection committee discussions in Mumbai ahead of India's Asia Cup matches scheduled in the UAE starting September 9.
