Mirabai Chanu's Triumphant Return at Commonwealth Championships

Mirabai Chanu made a sensational return to competitive weightlifting by clinching the gold medal at the Commonwealth Championships. Her performance shattered records, lifting a total of 193kg.
The Tokyo Olympics silver medallist broke the Commonwealth records in total lift, snatch, and clean and jerk in the women's 48kg division.
This was the 31-year-old's first appearance since her fourth-place finish in the Paris Games, after moving from the now non-Olympic 49kg weight category.
