Indian shooter Neeru Dhanda clinched the gold medal in the women's trap event at the Asian Shooting Championship, showcasing a stellar performance. Her compatriot, Aashima Ahlawat, secured the bronze, enhancing India's tally at the prestigious tournament.
Neeru hit a score of 43 in the final to surpass her competitors, Qatar's Bassil Ray, who scored 37, and Aashima with 29. Earlier, Manu Bhaker narrowly missed a podium finish in the women's 25m pistol event, claiming fourth place.
Adding to the day's achievements, the Indian trio of Neeru, Aashima, and Preeti Rajak dominated in the team event, clinching gold ahead of China and Kuwait.
