India's athletic team has started arriving in the city as excitement builds for the South Asian Senior Championships 2025, scheduled from October 24 to October 26 at the Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Morabadi.
Sprinters Pranav Gurav, Uttam Patil, and Arnav Takalkar, accompanied by their coach, were the first to touch down, signaling the commencement of preparations for a competitive Indian showing.
Madhukant Pathak, the general secretary of the Jharkhand Olympic Association and coordinator from the Athletics Federation of India, emphasized the importance of athletes arriving early to acclimatize and prepare for the event. He expressed optimism about India surpassing its previous medal tally as more team members, along with the Nepal contingent, were expected later in the day.
