In an unprecedented global boxing showdown, Greater Noida's Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex will host the World Boxing Cup Finals 2025 from November 14 to 21. The event will attract over 140 elite boxers from 18 nations, featuring three Olympic medalists and several World Championship winners.
Leading India's 20-member squad are boxing luminaries such as former World Champion Nikhat Zareen, reigning champions Jaismine Lamboria and Minakshi, and two-time Asian champion Pooja Rani. The men's team is captained by experienced fighters Hitesh and Abhinash Jamwal. The competition promises intense bouts as these seasoned athletes aim for supremacy.
The prestigious tournament will also witness the participation of three Paris Olympic medalists and multiple World Cup champions. BFI President Ajay Singh remarked on the event's significance, underscoring India's emergence as a global boxing hub and its athletes' capability to compete with the world's finest.
