In a thrilling cricketing showcase, Haryana claimed a sensational win over Punjab in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy match held on Friday. The nail-biting encounter was clinched by Haryana in the Super Over, with pacer Anshul Kamboj playing a pivotal role in the victory.

Kamboj, representing Chennai Super Kings, dismissed India opener Abhishek Sharma twice in the game, including during the critical Super Over where he took two wickets in just three deliveries. Nishant Sindhu's crucial boundary sealed the match for Haryana after Punjab equaled Haryana's score of 208, forcing the game into extra overs.

Despite Anmolpreet Singh's fiery 81 off 37 balls, Haryana's bowling prowess, including contributions from Yuzvendra Chahal and Samant Jakhar, ensured their grip on the match. Haryana's pre-Super Over capital was built on Sindhu's 61 and Ankit Kumar's 51, setting a competitive tone for the intense clash.
