Local golfing talent, Ishaan Chawhan, delivered an impressive 68 to secure a tied-third position at the Bharath Classic 2025 Gujarat, a prestigious event co-sanctioned by the Indian Golf Premier League and Asian Tour, on Saturday.
The 22-year-old, who has been recovering from a series of knee, back, and wrist injuries over the past three years, played his third consecutive sub-70 round, elevating him from sixth to a joint-third position. He shares this spot with Korean Heemin Chang and Thailand's Panuphol Pittyarat.
Amongst the challenging contenders at the USD 500,000 event, former Order of Merit winner Jazz Janewattananond and Poosit Supupramai currently lead, as Chawhan seeks to reclaim his form and ascend in the ranks after a period of setbacks.
