Parag clarified that discussions about potential captaincy have yet to take place, as team owner Manoj Badale has emphasized the decision will follow the player auction. Despite having captained several matches in 2025, Parag prefers to keep his mental space dedicated to improving his performance on the field, targeting a prolific season both with bat and ball.

According to Parag, key decisions within the Royals are made collectively, including input from new team member Ravindra Jadeja.
