The All Blacks will kick off their 2026 test season with a match against France at the newly constructed One New Zealand Stadium in Christchurch, New Zealand Rugby announced Tuesday.

This will be the first game the team plays there since the city was ravaged by an earthquake more than 15 years ago, an event that resulted in the tearing down of Lancaster Park.

"For the All Blacks to play at the new stadium 15 years after the earthquakes will be a special moment," said New Zealand Rugby CEO Mark Robinson. The match, set for July 4, will inaugurate the 12-team Nations Championship, followed by subsequent games hosting Italy and Ireland.
