Dramatic Encounter: Mohali Kabaddi Player Murder Suspect Shot Dead

A suspect in the murder of a kabaddi promoter in Mohali was killed by police. Harpinder, linked to multiple crimes, died following a shootout during his arrest. The slain promoter, Kanwar Digvijay Singh, was shot during a tournament, with assailants fleeing the scene. Two police officers were also injured.

In a dramatic police encounter on Wednesday, Harpinder, a suspect in the murder of a kabaddi player and promoter in Mohali, was fatally shot. Police confirmed Harpinder, also known as Middu, succumbed to injuries at the hospital after being caught in a gunfight with police.

Harpinder, a resident of Naushehra Pannuan, was reportedly involved in multiple criminal acts and posed a significant threat. During the attempted apprehension, two police officers suffered injuries and received immediate medical attention.

The kabaddi player, Kanwar Digvijay Singh, known as Rana Balachauria, was attacked during a private tournament in Mohali. The assailants fired upon him and fled the scene on a motorcycle. The police's swift operations have now narrowed the focus to two identified shooters from Amritsar.
