Bajwa, aged 22, steps into the role with experience from nine ODIs and 17 T20Is, making his captaincy debut on a global stage. Under his leadership, Canada is set to compete in Group D, facing formidable opponents like South Africa and New Zealand.
The squad features notable players such as Yuvraj Samra and former captain Saad Bin Zafar. Canada secured their World Cup berth by winning all six matches in the Americas Regional Final.
