Sebastien Ogier: Rallying to New Heights in 2026
Sebastien Ogier is set to start another partial WRC campaign after equalling Sebastien Loeb's record of nine titles. Despite not initially aiming for another championship, Ogier, who has worked with Volkswagen, Ford, and Toyota, plans to remain competitive in the upcoming season.
Less than two months after Sebastien Ogier matched Sebastien Loeb's record of nine World Rally Championship titles, he prepares to return with a partial campaign beginning at the Monte Carlo Rally. Determined to sustain his high performance level, the French driver confirmed he will compete in 10 rallies this season, with a possible 11th start if a record-breaking 10th title is within reach.
Ogier, who has raced part-time since 2022, won six titles consecutively from 2013 to 2018, adding two more in 2020 and 2021. He has found success partnering with Volkswagen, Ford, and Toyota. Despite the comparisons with Loeb, Ogier remains focused on achieving his own goals and maintaining his legacy as one of rally racing's greatest.
With plans to possibly revisit the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ogier remains uncertain about his future in rallying beyond 2026. Still passionate about the Monte Carlo Rally, where he ranks as the all-time winner, Ogier views it as the pivotal event that inspired his driving career.
